This policy explains what data CMEforEcho ("this site," "we") collects when you visit, why, and what rights you have over it. We built this site to give clinicians useful information - we're not in the business of collecting data beyond what's needed to run the site and understand whether it's useful.

What data we collect
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site - which pages are read, roughly how people arrive, and general usage patterns. GA4 collects information such as your approximate location (city/country level, derived from IP address), device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring site. Google may set cookies to support this. We use this data in aggregate; we don't use it to identify individual visitors.
Google acts as a data processor for this analytics data. You can review Google's own privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy, and opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Affiliate tracking
When you click a link to a platform we review - including our link to eEcho - that click may set a tracking cookie on the destination site, or pass a reference parameter, so the platform can attribute the resulting visit or purchase to CMEforEcho. This is how we earn the referral commission disclosed throughout the site. We do not receive or store your personal information from that transaction - we may only see aggregate figures such as whether a referred visit resulted in a purchase.
Information you provide directly
If you contact us through the contact page or by email, we collect whatever you include - typically your email address and message content - solely to respond to you. We don't add contacts to a mailing list without a separate, explicit opt-in.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard technical information (IP address, browser type, timestamps, pages requested) for security and operational purposes. These logs are retained briefly and are not used for marketing.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data.
- We don't display third-party advertising or ad-network tracking on this site.
- We don't share data with the platforms we review beyond the standard affiliate-attribution mechanism described above.
Cookies
This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics (see above) and, when you click through to a reviewed platform, cookies set by that platform for affiliate attribution - those are governed by the destination site's own privacy policy, not this one. We do not use cookies for on-site advertising or cross-site tracking of our own.
Your rights
If you're located in the European Economic Area or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because this site collects very little personal data by design (mainly aggregate analytics and, only if you contact us, your message and email address), most requests can be resolved quickly.
If you're a California resident, you have similar rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information as defined under that law.

Data retention
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Contact-form correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for healthcare professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes affecting your rights will be noted clearly on this page.
